Support for Google Calendar and Contact has been available in Insider Fast for several months now. With the rollout of version 16.11 (180305), this functionality will slowly start rolling out to Insider Slow audience as well. Previous announcement: We would love to hear from you as we make improvements in Insider Fast, so please provide feedback and report issues via Help Contact Support. If you would like to see other enhancements in Outlook for Mac, please vote for your feature request via Help Suggest a Feature.
Make sure that you have the latest version of Outlook for Mac 2011. Password is the same as you use when logging on the webmail for this e-mail account. Use SSL to connect (recommended); Incoming server port: 993; Outgoing server. That the Incoming server-field says imap.one.com (and not imap.example.com).
Hi - I was on Insider Fast and had an error today that required complete uninstall / reinstall (my Outlook for Mac stopped opening). I had the full Google connect experience and it was GREAT. However, now that the support team has helped me re-install Outlook, and I've re-added myself to Insider Fast, I am unable to add Google accounts with the beta functionality. Is there any action I can take as I use these features to manage my business Google calendar and contacts (so a bit pressing to re-add the functionality I had been using).
Hello everyone. I just moved to Insider Fast and am using Outlook v16.4, build 180502. After updating, I deleted my previously added Google App account and then added it again. I followed the prompt, signed in and approved access to my Google account. I can now see my Google calendar in Outlook (yay!). I can also add a calendar event in Outlook and it will show up in my Google calendar (yay!).
However, if I open my Google calendar in Chrome and delete the event I just added from Outlook, the event is not removed from Outlook. Events added directly in my Google calendar also do not show up in Outlook. It would appear that any changes made directly to my Google calendar are not getting synced to Outlook. Am I correct to assume calendar sync should be bi-directional? If so, can someone help me troubleshoot the issue? Hi Mark, That's good to hear.
Yes, with the new Google Account added it should be a bi-directional sync. Can you check if it was just a delay and your changes on Google Calendar in Chrome made it's way to Outlook?
You can contact us using Help Contact Support if this continues to be an issue. did you add your Google Account again after getting the Insider Fast build? When adding account you should see a dialog like this. If not, I'll need some info to look up your ticket that you sent us using Contact Support. Can you send me a private message here or on. Thanks, Sunder. I wanted to use this new feature (new Google support) in Outlook on my Mac. I am on Outlook Office 365 for Mac.
I had an IMAP Gmail account connection set up that worked perfectly. When I set up the connection, it immediately started downloading all my emails from my Gmail account.
It took some time (4-5 hours), but it downloaded all of them in one process. When I installed the new version of Outlook that supported the NEW Google connectivity, I had to delete by old account and create a new one, which I did. However, when I did this, Outlook did not (would not) download all the emails in my existing Inbox. It downloaded some (current month - May), then I had to hit the Sync Folders button to get it to sync more, then it would only sync a few at a time, facing me to manually hit the Sync Folders button again, and again, and again. Why does the new release support pulling all my email like the older release did? I've read some excuses such as Google data limits, but that can't be because when I set up my previous account it all downloaded all the emails in one, albeit long, process.
Can someone please help me get my all emails to download? Without all my emails one place, Outlook is useless to me. Hi - can you send me private message here or DM on Twitter link I shared above? I'll need your email address to look up ticket as I didn't find it using your full name.
Alternatively, you can start a new ticket and use your full name so I can look it up. have you contacted us using Help Contact Support? It'll provide us logs that we can use to see why you account is not able to sync properly. If you use your full name in the contact support dialog, I can pull it up on my side. yes, Teams integration is on our roadmap. I don't have timelines to share though.
Thanks, Sunder Senior Product Manager Outlook for Mac. Hi I just updated to Outlook for Mac 16.13 today and have lost all access to several gmail calendars that were running on my Outlook calendar. I have taken a look at the various help topics but nothing seems to work. Tried to 'Open shared calendar' under 'Organise' but only the MS exchange email account on my Outlook shows up as an option and that one already shows in my calendar. The actual email accounts for these gmail accounts are still showing in my Outlook inbox and sending/receiving as normal.
It is just the calendars that were there before the 'upgrade' that have vanished. (I am on auto-update so assume I was on a current version of Outlook before today.) To clarify - I have a O365 subscription and all this functionality was working fine until the update today.

Do I have to delete all the Gmail accounts & re-install them again? Who thought that this approach was a good idea? Hi - can you reach out to us using Help Contact Support? We had to update build configuration that could have caused your flight to be turned off. I can confirm this if you contact support. If you need a quick workaround, you can open up Help Check for Updates to launch Microsoft AutoUpdate tool and opt-in to Insider Slow.
That is same as Production bits, but has Google Calendar and Contact support fully enabled. Hi - I re-activated your ticket and sent you a message. Hi - the update shouldn't have changed Google calendar sync on existing account. Can you contact us using Help Contact Support? Please include a screeenshot of your Tools Accounts dialog when you send us a note.
Thanks, Sunder. Hi - unfortunately, each device gets flights independently. Only way you can guarantee getting the flight on your second Mac is to opt-in to Insider Slow, where this feature is flighted at 100%. Hi - once you opt-in to Insider Slow, it might take a while for flight definitions to be downloaded to your client.
You may also need to restart Outlook. I don't see your ticket in the system.
yes, new Google account support with Calendar & Contacts works with 2FA enabled. If you re-added the account after losing the flight, you will get IMAP only which doesn't support 2FA. You can opt-in to Insider Slow to get this functionality. We are going to roll this out to Production slowly, so alternatively, you can wait till it gets to 100%. Thanks, Sunder. OK, so I logged out & closed everything down for an hour or two (as Support suggested) and then restarted Outlook.
(All of this on a Mac) Immediately had dialogue boxes from Google asking if I wanted to share access for my Gmail accounts etc with Microsoft Cloud etc. Approved everything (including the inevitable security alerts from Google about 3rd party app access) and restarted. Still no way I can see to add the calendars to Outlook.
Going to the Organize tab in Calendar still only offers existing MS related email accounts already set up on the computer, no sign of any of the Gmail accounts (4 or them) also already set up on the computer and whose email functions fine (and always has). Asked Help and then Googled how to set up calendars but all instructions seem to related to PC users not Outlook/Office for Mac. Tried another re-start but nothing changes. Feels like some progress but not there yet.
